In addition to our dogs, we have two beautiful sons who were born in 2003 and 2005 respectively. We had to slow down our breeding and showing during those years but we are thrilled with our children and hope that they will grow up to share our love of the dogs.
We now have 4 Bulldogs that we actively show and breed . We try not to have more than four in the house because any dog who lives with us is an active member of the family and we have learned the hard way that more than 4 dogs (especially with young children) can become chaos.
In addition to the dogs, we have Silly the cat and Ashton the parrot. Silly is a Norwegian Highlander and came to us through Nancy Schultz all the way from Maryland. Everyone who meets him wants one. He is majestic like a cat, plays with the dogs like a puppy, and isn't afraid of a thing. He is just awesome!!! As for Ashton... Well, she speaks constantly and makes it difficult to work from home. Ashton was born in 2000 and has been a constant source of joy since then.
Jose and I both have “real jobs” to finance our Bulldog habit. Curently Jose is a Project Manager working for EDS, a computer consulting firm. I am a Sales Executive working for Sun Microsystems
All breeders of Bulldogs have a certain "look" that they are trying to produce. Our inspiration came in 2001 when we visited a National Dog Show in Amsterdam. Alison Gunson was judging and Hans Bakker hosted us at his house. It was a fantastic learning experience and I was able to touch all the beautiful dogs that I had only ever seen pictures of.
We take the responsibility of breeding Bulldogs very seriously. All our dogs come from quality European bloodlines and our goal is to produce pet puppies that are extremely healthy and look great. We do not breed often and screen our puppy buyers carefully. All our puppies come with a comprehensive written health guarantee that we will gladly honour in the unlikely event that a genetic problem is found with any puppy bred by us.
